About this objectBarney Dentry’s yacht was built to a U.S.A. design, launched 1946. Initially fitted with an Essex 4 car engine in the cabin which gave 14 mph, Barney later fitted a 2 1/2 litre JAP Marine engine which gave in excess of 24 mph. The boat was sold to help finance the motor garage that Barney built on the SW corner of Bay Road and George Street, Sandringham. LH lower corner of photo shows Barney working on the boat engine in the cabin.
