Name/TitleRestaurant closed after COVID-19 outbreak at Sandringham Dry Cleaners
About this objectOn 24 June 2021, Victorian authorities advised that a man had tested positive after having recently returned from Sydney, where there was then an outbreak. He worked at Sandringham Dry Cleaners in Bay Road, Sandringham. The Dry Cleaners was closed and listed as a Tier 1 exposure site, meaning that anyone who had attended over the relevant period had to immediately get tested and quarantine for 14 days. Later that day, it emerged that the owner of the business had also tested positive.
The One Thai Restaurant operated from premises adjacent to the dry cleaners. Due to the outbreak, they closed for a period and, on reopening, only initially provided takeaways. The photo is of the explanatory notice they displayed in their window.
