Name/TitleLifeline advert during COVID-19 pandemic
About this objectVictorians faced many challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly during lengthy lockdowns. Factors such as bereavement, isolation, loss of income and fear triggered mental health conditions or exacerbated existing ones. Home schooling placed pressure on families, both children and parents. The uncertainty people suffered led to anxiety and, for some, insomnia, and drug/alcohol problems.
Lifeline experienced a great increase in the number of calls seeking support as the psychological toll of the pandemic set in, relating to both social and economic impacts. This advert appeared in South Road, Hampton during the pandemic, encouraging people to call for help.
